By applying for the IT & Strategy Talent Programme you can become 1 of 23 talents working towards that goal. Each of the 23 positions in the program is unique and has its own specific responsibilities and challenges. This is a two-year programme with a strong focus on your development. You will have an individual development plan aiming at a targeted competence profile after two years and building blocks with learning goals towards that target. As part of the programme, you can look forward to assignments/rotations aimed at giving you a chance to really get into a project and deliver value.
Your role as SAP technical Finance expert
You started your career as business informatics specialist and want to take the next step in a large SAP environment? That’s exactly what we’re looking for. SAP is the backbone of our financial data and is constantly updated to support Vattenfall on the journey to fossil free living. The energy sector changed a lot during last years from stable operation towards flexible business models and this is reflected in our system. Vattenfall just started the journey towards a new SAP S/4 HANA implementation which will be the perfect project to start a career as a SAP Finance expert with strong technical knowledge.
Your daily activities:
Discuss with business stakeholders requirements and translate into technical concepts
Participation in group wide projects like the S/4 HANA implementation
Maintenance of the central ERP System
Participation in customer driven projects

Graduate, or up to two years’ work experience
Strong academic background in Finance and IT

Able to travel from time to time (more often during projects)
As a SAP technical Finance expert you recognize yourself in the following:
You have a strong knowledge in Finance (accounting or controlling) as well as knowledge in IT basics like good development skills in any object oriented language or solid SQL skills. After a certain period of training you should be able to translate customer requirements into technical solutions in our future SAP landscape and drive the implementation. You like to work in an international team of SAP specialists supporting our business and are not afraid to ask other team members for support.
SAP knowledge is of course beneficial but not a must.
You are our ideal talent if you are open minded and able to think out of the box. Your ability to convince business stakeholders for new functionality is key and will support us on our journey.
You will be working in the department of ERP Financial Solutions and the location for this position is flexible in one of our main locations Berlin, Amsterdam, Stockholm or Katowice
The IT & Strategy Talent Program is a kickstart to your career within Vattenfall. It will give you the opportunity to visit different parts of our organization, e.g., in Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland and Denmark. There are planned weeks including personal development and internal leadership development from our Vattenfall Management Institute. Each position comes with a competitive salary and an excellent remuneration package
